Just kidding. The Hunter Valley Trip combines wine tasting, cheese eating and fantastic scenery all in one beautiful package.

WEEK 7 : Hunter Valley
Dying to take a break from those books and want something MORE than just Koalas, Kangaroos, Opera House and the Harbour Bridge? Well, we’ve got something awesome you can indulge in! With Unimates sought after event: Hunter Valley Day Trip, you can indulge in a relaxing weekend with a sip of Australian wine while strolling down some vineyards! Who doesn’t love a glass of wine!
The Hunter Valley is Australia’s premier and oldest wine-growing region. Ride along the other side of Sydney where you get to taste mouth-watering cheese, award-winning wines, stroll along vineyards, and experience breathtaking moments in the vast gardens of Hunter Valley and boutique stores. Get ready your taste buds and whip out your cameras for some unforgettable moments with beautiful scenery and fresh country air. There is something for everyone to see and do.
So, our itinerary goes:
Hunter Valley Cheese Company – Cheese Tasting
McGuigans Winery – Wine Tasting
McWilliams Mount Pleasant Wines – Winery Tour
Gardens Village – Boutique shops and restaurants with landscaped gardens for a picnic lunch
Hunter Valley Garden – Ten-themed gardens to be explored
Mount View – capture the entire vast view of Hunter Valley
Wollombi Valley – Antique shops, historical colonial buildings and other attractions
When? Saturday 28th April (Departing at 7:00 am and Returning at 7:00 pm)
Price: Access: $46 / Non Access : $50
(Prices include the bus ride, cheese tasting, wine tastings, wine tour and entry to Hunter Valley Gardens)

**Note** Tickets will be allocated on a first paid –first serve basis, so the earlier to pay the greater chance of getting a place for the event. A confirmation email with all necessary details will be sent out to those who successfully pay.
THE ANZAC DAY EVE PARTY on Tuesday (24th April)
Come celebrate with Unimates and SUAMS next Tuesday for the price of $5!
Coyote Tuesday’s has been the biggest Tuesday night in Sydney for the past 5 years.
Next Tuesday 24th April, we have special entry to the biggest night on Coyotes calendar.
DJ Helena, one of Sydney’s top DJs is special guesting, so it’s one not to be missed!!!
We will be meeting on campus at 8 pm, Holme Building Common Room (1st Floor), for dinner, after which we’ll all board the free party bus to Trademark Hotel (1 Bayswater Rd, Kings Cross)! The bus will leave promptly at 9p.m. Don’t be late!
For just $5, you’ll have a pizza dinner, free entry to the party, and one free drink to kick off an amazing night!
(Normal ticketing prices for the night starts at $25, so you’re getting a huge discount!)
AND it’s the night before the ANZAC holiday, so you’ll have a whole day to recover from your crazy party antics!

Coffee & Cake (Tuesday 11:30 am – 1:00 pm)
Coffee and Cake this semester will be held at 11:30am- 1:00pm on Tuesday on the lawn across Butlin Avenue from the MerewetherBuilding, between Biochemistry and Wentworth Buildings. However, if it rains we will be under the Biochemistry footbridge. The two places are right next to each other so it shouldn’t be difficult to find us on the day!
So come and enjoy some yummy cakes and snacks with us or get your daily fill of coffee or tea between classes, while you meet up with new and old friends from Unimates.
